Michael McCann’s (a.k.a Behavior) award winning work as composer, producer and sound designer has been recognized and showcased worldwide. His broadcast and client resume includes some of the biggest companies in entertainment and advertising, including Paramount Pictures, Ubisoft, Fox Networks, 2K Interactive, Square Enix / Eidos Interactive, Ogilvy & Mather, Alliance Atlantis and many more.
Michael has been lead composer for the multi-million selling games Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent, XCOM: Enemy Unknown / Enemy Within, the opening theme of the syndicated dramatic series Regenesis, lead sound design / music editing work on the cult hit films It’s All Gone Pete Tong, FUBAR, the 3-season epic reality series ‘License to Drill’ [Discovery Channel], and numerous other projects in film, games, television and advertising.
His original music for games, TV & film have earned him nominations from the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA), the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), Hollywood Music In Media Awards, Spike TV VGA’s, G4TV, IGN and more. In 2016, the “Announcement Trailer” for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, scored by McCann, earned a Clio award (audio / visual) for advertising. His work in sound design has also earned him 2 Genie nominations and 2 Leo Awards [It’s All Gone Pete Tong]. In 2011, IGN listed Michael as one of the top 30 people working in video games, and in 2012, his main theme Icarus, from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, was chosen to be performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra for the compilation series “Greatest Music in Video Games 2“.
